G1 Android App Market Review 2

Here are a few more free apps that I’ve tried out and still have: Toggle Settings (Donut): (by cooolmagic) This the version for the Donut update. This is similar to the other app, Useful Switchers. You can switch between various preset phone settings. But the difference here is that you can customize it a bit, unlike Useful Switchers (Useful Switchers was changed to a paid app, so I uninstalled it). There are two (or more, if you prefer) tabs, and you can move certain settings to a different tab, allowing you to have the frequently used settings on top for easy access.. || Continue Reading →

Twisted Disney Princesses Art

October 8th, 2009

Cori sent this link to me today and all I can say is AMAZING artwork and CREEPY AS HELL! This artist transforms the beautiful Disney princesses into extremely dark versions. The creepiest to me: Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. But again, the artwork is absolutely amazing. G1 Android App Market Review

September 2nd, 2009

I LOVE my G1. I’ve had it since it was released Oct 2008 and have loved it since. Although, this is my first smart phone, Jeh has had his iPhone for awhile and I have something to compare it to. Battery life of my phone is actually really good. I check my email all the time, use my browser maybe 0-30mins a day, and text all the time. My battery hardly ever hits 50% battery life. I have to admit, though, that there was a time where my battery was draining faster than normal. All I did was a “battery restart” (letting it drain all the way till it wouldn’t.. || Continue Reading →

Prenatal Vitamins

July 6th, 2009

After talking with my doctor and telling her that we might be trying to start to have kids within a year, she told me to start taking prenatal vitamins since we’re still thinking about it. Apparently, it’s ideal to be taking prenatal vitamins at least 3-4 months before conceiving. She said that a lot of women can’t swallow those horse-pill-sized prenatal vitamins, so at the very least take Folic Acid 400 mcg per day (that’s the absolute minimum of what I should be taking). Folic Acid (aka Folate) reduces the risk of serious birth defect, which is why.. || Continue Reading →

Healthy Snack Bars (updated)

March 1st, 2009

thumb

I’m looking for a snack bar that is fairly healthy. Something I can snack on when I’m not craving something sweet (chocolate/chocolate cookie) or salty (chips)…perhaps something that could even satisfy my sweet or salty cravings. Lately I’ve been going to our Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies and Oreos & milk to relieve my cravings….. It would be nice to find something that could satisfy my cravings and not be so unhealthy. I’m trying different bars (after researching their nutrient facts online) to figure out which ones taste best to me... || Continue Reading →

San Francisco

February 9th, 2009

Jeh and I decided to make a small 5-day trip to San Fran. Two days before our flight, I started to feel a little sick. The day before, I got a fever of 102.3 degrees. I kept getting a fever every time I would just relax on the sofa or bed and felt better when I was walking around or just being active. Our 1.5 hour flight went well since I just took a nap the whole time. We got to our hotel in Union Square and relaxed there for a bit. My fever was starting again so we just stayed in that night. The next day was our first full day. Jeh’s cousin, Roger, took us to a cafe.. || Continue Reading →

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is finally released

January 8th, 2009

Sounds like the Xperia X1 phone has finally been released. I’m not sure on the exact date, but it happened recently. Thank god I ended up getting the G1 (which I LOVE) and didn’t wait for this phone…retail price for the X1 is $799.99. You can purchase one at SonyStyle.com and I can’t tell which carrier it’s on or if it’s even with a carrier. It doesn’t really sound like it’s with any. From the very few reviews I’ve read about the X1, it seems like Windows Mobile is still laggy on this phone which is a huge bummer. That’s.. || Continue Reading →

Santa Claus is coming to town…soon…

December 11th, 2008

This is will be the first time Jeh and I will have hosted Christmas for our family, well my family to be exact. I’m not nervous about it at all, since we host lots of BIG parties and are used to all the stress, work, and clean-up. I like being organized and prepared when it comes to planning things. I’ve already started a Christmas menu list and only have the basics down (Roast w/ gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, and ham) and I’m trying to figure out what to serve for appetizers. Actually, I’m just trying to figure out what cookies I want to make... || Continue Reading →
