TasteSpotting

December 30th, 2009

I had stumbled upon this site earlier this year: http://www.tastespotting.com/. It is a really cool site that draws you in purely through amazing food photography. I have found many of my recipes through this site. At times I found really great recipes straight through this site and other times I’m inspired by the photos and remember a recipe that I always forget to look up. It has all sorts of food photography and can definitely spark up an appetite. I used this site for all of the parties I hosted this year (which is a lot), to help me find new dishes or give me ideas for new dishes — extremely helpful site. They add new images/links basically everyday. Quoted from their “About” page:

“Founded in January 2007 on the idea that we eat first with our eyes, TasteSpotting is our obsessive, compulsive collection of eye-catching images that link to something deliciously interesting on the other side. Think of TasteSpotting as a highly visual potluck of recipes, references, experiences, stories, articles, products, and anything else that inspires exquisite taste.

We don’t use the term “potluck” for the hell of it. Everyone brings something to the party here: the user community submits images/links from around the web and the editorial team reviews the submissions. What finally gets served up on the site is a beautifully refined set of the community’s contributions.”

Just one of the things that stuck out at me today from TasteSpotting is an image from tinyurbankitchen.com.
